I’m an addict. I’m addicted to sugar. There, I said it.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had my Dad’s sweet tooth.
I always loved to cook when I was little, it was always desserts and cakes. Now that I’m older my love has transferred to more savoury food and cooking big meals.
My problem now is that I still eat waaaay too much sugar. Chocolate, lollies, ice cream you name it, I love it.

Because I’ve been lucky enough to have a pretty great metabolism I’ve never had to worry about what I ate or exercising to maintain my weight. This, however, I have taken for granted. I am now realising that this isn’t a valid excuse for poor eating. I am realising that I shouldn’t be taking this for granted and I should start creating healthy habits now, rather than struggling later on.

I have created this blog as an ‘online journal’ to keep track of my journey to quit sugar. I will be following Sarah Wilson’s guide to quitting sugar and blogging my experience!
